Aware that the music scene was changing and needing some time off, Bill Graham closed the Fillmore in 1971. This double-sized poster lists the 17 bands that performed during the Fillmore’s closing week. “At first they wanted me to list every single band that ever played the Fillmore over five years—on a single sized poster,” Singer said. “I laughed imagining what a lettering freak-out that would be.”
